Fans of veteran actor Aruna Irani were left concerned after a video of her arriving at Mumbai airport in a wheelchair, holding crutches in one hand, went viral. However, the actor has reassured everyone that she is recovering well and eager to get back to her routine.

In an interview with Hindustan Times, Aruna, who had been using a wheelchair due to a fractured foot, opened up about her fall in Bangkok and her journey to recovery. “I’m absolutely fine now,” she says, addressing the concerns of her well-wishers.

Providing further details about her recovery, she shares, “The plaster will come off soon, and then I’ll be done in a week. I’m so grateful for all the love and support I’ve received from my fans and well-wishers. It means the world to me.”

Assuring her fans, she adds, “I want to tell all my fans not to worry about me. My foot was fractured after a fall in Bangkok and suffered viral. Dealing with both things at that time was a bit tough. But I am fine now. I love my fans and want to thank them all for the concern that they have shown.”

Updating on her health status, the actress reveals, “I will be able to walk in another 10 days. The plaster will be off in another week, and then will start walking slowly again. Till then, I am resting at my place in Mumbai.”

About Aruna’s injury

Aruna’s injury occurred two weeks ago when she slipped and fell while walking in Bangkok. On Wednesday, a video of her returning to Mumbai after her treatment surfaced online. The clip showed her arriving at the airport in a wheelchair, smiling and holding crutches in one hand.

Interestingly, in the video, the actor was seen singing the iconic song Haal Kaisa Hai Janaab Ka from Chalti Ka Naam Gaadi.

Speaking about the incident, she recalls, “I was walking in Bangkok when I slipped and fell. That led to my injury.”

Addressing the viral video, Aruna shares, “I was smiling and singing in that video. And I am doing that now. I am recovering well. Till then, I am resting at my home and not going anywhere.”

Aruna Irani’s journey in the film industry began as a child artist in the 1961 film Gunga Jumna, where she portrayed Azra’s childhood character. She later played Mala Sinha’s younger version in Anpadh. Over the years, she has delivered memorable performances in films like Farz, Bobby, Fakira, Sargam, Red Rose, Love Story, and Rocky.
